Although we offer tremendous flexibility as designers and builders, we are proud to say that we always erect our own frames. It's the only way to guarantee that the complex joinery is assembled as designed and engineered!

Our Crew

Our shop foreman, Raymond "Jonesy" Jones, has been with Legacy since the very beginning. His dedicated, professional approach to the art of precision framing continues to serve as the anchor for our timber-cutting shop. All of our crew are highly skilled craftsmen with a special affinity for working with wood. Several staff members have backgrounds in foresty and logging, as well as historic boat reconstruction, cabinetry, and furniture making.

Here at Legacy, we sincerely love timber frames and timber framing, and we all take great pride and satisfaction in creating and hand-crafting homes that will endure into the twenty-first century and beyond.

"Why build a house ... when you can create a Legacy?"™

Legacy's founders and owners

Legacy was established in 1988, and the company's founders and principal officers are Annemarie Mitchell Roseberger (President) and Daniel Roseberger (Vice President).

Annemarie studied interior design at Dawson College in Montreal, then worked for several years with a design firm specializing in high-rise office buildings. Returning to her hometown area in upstate New York, she accepted a position with a local timber frame company. It was there that she fell in love with the craft and learned the fundamentals of traditional timber frame building, as well as the intricacies of joinery.

Dan has spent his entire adult life in construction and carpentry. While working with the New York State Department of Historical Preservation, he further developed his knowledge of and appreciation for many traditional building techniques. Dan's particular interest in timber framing eventually led him to form a company specializing in the assembly and completion of timber frame homes.

Annemarie and Dan first met while coordinating the construction of one of the frames she had designed. Working together, they developed a mutual respect and professional rapport, and eventually they decided to create their own design, manufacturing and construction company-- Legacy Timber Frames.

About Us

Located near historic Saratoga Springs, New York, Legacy Timber Frames has been designing, producing, and erecting custom timber frame structures for over a decade. We hand-craft the frames in our own shop, on the same property as our design office. This on-site approach to design and production ensures continuity in the quality and integrity of your frame, from our blueprints and chisels to the creation of your legacy.

Our work has appeared in many magazines, including Timber Frame Homes, Traditional Builder, and Journal of Light Construction, as well as regional newspapers and television. One of our projects was featured in a lead article in the March 1997 issue of Timber Homes Illustrated. But our best publicity continues to be the word-of-mouth advertising our own clients provide!
